The Legend
Introducing the Barely Legal, the world’s toughest all-terrain hot rod. It began as a dream in the imagination of former Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonaut football star Bill Norton in 1996. Bill wanted to build a dune buggy that could climb Whistler Mountain and fly like the wind down a regular highway. He knew it would take superb engineering skills to create and build a car that would pass the tough inspection standards of mechanical safety and insurance. Enter the other legend, Len Werden, a man known for his brilliance in the building hotrods and bikes right in his own private shops. The partnership took off and so did the plans for the manufacture and sale of the Barely Legal hot rod. Quickly behind the car come the franchising opportunities, the sales of Barely Legal customized personal editions and the Barely Legal trademark for clothing accessories and fashions. The corporate Barely Legal has barely begun, watch for us in your rear view mirror or as we pass by.
